Had a reservation to stay with Dave & Julie in Jefferson, Maine at their home on Damariscota Lake. A wonderful couple and excellent hosts who have been Evergreen Members for about 7 years, and were so down to earth and comfortable to be with - like we'd known them for years. Day off!
My first (and only) 24 hour day off was today!
Sarah, one of the Counselors here, has a lake house further upstate. She invited us up to spend the night. It was amazing! We went for a paddle and a swim on / in the lake. It was really beautiful.

Maiden Voyage of the Hamlin Camper!
This Fathers' Day Weekend, we are going camping at Two Rivers Campground where we are testing out our new (used) camper! It's a 26' fifth-wheel. We've been working very hard to get everything all packed up and ready to go for the upcoming adventure.
Also camping with us will be the McClain, the Soules, and the Lamberts. Gretta will be camping with us (maybe Sydney, too) since Gretchen and Steve are at Bike Week this week. They will be joining us on Saturday!

Baxter State Park
... of Gerald Pelletier Company was near Millinocket where we stopped at Baxter S P Authority and were assured that the visitor center at the park was open. We drove back and it was not yet open. The fog was so bad we could not see above 2500 feet anyway. Millinocket is near I 95 so we took that highway down to Augusta for the day following the Penobscot River. We were surprised that Augusta's old waterfront had not been developed as nicely as some towns. ...
And We're Off
... on the plane. The food was actually quite good and we both enjoyed our meals. The in-flight movie was WE BOUGHT A ZOO. I really didn't have any desire to watch it, so listened to music on my iPad and tried to read, but my eyes were so tired I couldn't concentrate. Dave listened to Pocasts on his iPad.
