    ... d heard some horror stories about getting into Thailand. After arriving in Bangkok we got straight on an overnight train which took us to Chiang Mai in the north. The train journey was quite comfortable. We had a sleeper carriage with air con and managed to get a fairly good nights sleep.     Not much sleep, lots of barking from dogs fighting, loads of stray dogs here, huge cull needed!!... At one point I even thought I heard an Elephant roaring! Up at 6, showered and out for some breakfast,, bungalow right next to an Elephant Zoo!..... nowhere open for breakfast so made do with some toasties from 7/11..
