    ... century English paintings, and some amazing Wedgwood and Chinese ceramics, we had a look at the church and a walk through the gardens, the roses still blooming - and even scented! And then of course a sit down and drink at the pub. We still had time for a last walk along the cycle track, and a last delicious dinner with Omnia. And even caught a new New Tricks episode!! Now off to bed and ready for new adventure ...

    ... 2013. The tour is done very well taking us through the dressing rooms, makeup & costume areas…..a few of Roy’s cardigans seemed all too familiar. Then all the internal sets like the Platt’s lounge & kitchen; Carla’s apartment; Tyrone’s (Duckworth’s) lounge and even the interior of the canal boat where Ken had one of his many affairs.     ... One funny thing is that as we walk around and hear snatches of conversation - especially in groups of teenagers - we can hear they are probably speaking English, but can't understand a word of what they are saying!!! It is a funny (to us) accent, and dialect, and Amr and I just look at each other and shake our heads - not a clue!! One more day here, then off to St Bees on Tuesday. AND the weather forecast so far remains ...
