        After that, we went to Mt. Eden, which had an equally stunning view. All of these hills are small volcanic cones and they have craters next to them. Mt. Eden has a large crater and is probably great for snow sledding, if they allow it.

        ... start you'd want! So... Onto Auckland. Once checked into the YHA (in China Town of course) we took an early evening stroll down Queen Street (the high street) just to get a sense of the place. Coming from Sydney this felt like a similar but quieter version. All the usual suspects had their shop fronts lit up along both sides of the streets and there was absolutely no shortage of places to eat.         ... line from 3 June but still have "virtual phone" 09 929 7253 when we are connected to the Internet - not sure how that will work but it's a cheap way of keeping our same phone number while we are away without paying for full BB/landline.

        Update: 7/6/14 Haven't been able to use virtual phone yet, modems in NZ are set to default which doesn't allow use of voip...
