    Day Thirty Eight - Singapore to Auckland

    We arrived late and only needed to grab our carry-ons since our bags were checked. Since we had a ten hour layover, we got a room at the Jet Park Hotel and decided to get a little sleep. The shuttle came and brought us to the hotel, it was a little chilly.

    The hotel was ok but the walls were thin and the all in all, I wouldn't stay here again if we have a layover in Auckland.

    So it is now d-day, tears have been shed and I still cant decide how I feel with an array of emotions. Firstly im nervous, anxious and naive, secondly excited and saying "what the heck am I doing". Hopefully one by one the emotions will easea and ill be overwhelmed with excitement.

We got soaked walking to Laura's hotel and then on to my hostel. I checked in and tried ...

    ... love for you.

    I have written my letter;
    I have sent my ring
    So that your people can see
    That I am troubled.

    My pen is shattered.
    I have no more paper.
    But my love
    Is still steadfast.

    My love will never
    Be dried by the sun.
    It will be forever moistened
    By my tears

    I was planning to go to the zoo after lunch today however as I was walking down to the harbour I saw there were lots of traffic cones and areas cordoned off and 'special event' signs around...but nowhere seemed to say what exactly was happening. So I went in the info centre to ask and they said if I walk further down I'll find the starting point of the world's ...
