    ... at the charing cross hotel in London, so we left slough on Thursday and took two trains to stay in a shell of a hotel at kings cross. I say shell of a hotel because that is exactly what it was, the name was tune hotel and it is really cheap, however the catch is, they charge you for everything.     ... the pubs etc... Basically it was Roman fort, then William the Conquorer set up base at Old Salum, built a cathedral and lived there. After the cathedral cought fire they moved to the town of Salisbury since, first off, it had running water, and second it was in a valley so the lightnigh would not strike the Cathedral.
