We woke up this morning at 8 30 am and did our last bit of packing at the Laings house. We took our car at around 10 am and drove to a nearby park where we took a bit of a walk, enjoying nice views of Christchurch far below. We were very lucky as it rained right before we went for a walk, and rained again as soon as we finished.

... the Canadian side of the falls, which in my opinion has somewhat spoilt the experience, however, for some reason I think he was still surprised not to find the falls in the Canadian wilderness. Nonetheless we really had a fun day driving down there and we drove back home via Niagara-on-the-Lake - a beautifully preserved colonial town where the Niagara River meets Lake Ontario. ... we go to the Eton centre first as it was one of the memories I had when in Toronto over 20 years ago as a child. It did not disappoint. I especially loved the sign in Indigo Books that read 'The world needs more Canada'.
Whilst reliving my childhood with a 99c slushy, we skyped my parents and caught up our visa adventures.
Over the next couple of days we chilled out and explored the city by foot, all hundreds of miles of it.

All together we sent 4 boxes, likely around 500 lbs of gifts for the family and the community. The boxes around about 3 by 3 by 3 and weight doesn't matter. The go by train to Vancouver and then by boat to the Philippines and are delivered door to door for $75.00 a box. There is even a name for them, the Balikbayan Box.

... bought an entrance ticket for 36 dollars and went up. A stunning view! I love high towers and if there is one in a city I'm in I will always make sure to visit it. What made this one unique was that Toronto is actually located next to a large lake.
