          ... graveyard. On the map there are dozens of airports or airfields scattered around the Mojave Desert. At the end of the road we found the Mojave private Air & Space Port & Civilian Flight Test Centre and at the end of this were at least 50 aircraft of various commercial operators - no Qantas but we are guessing there are probably quite a few different places.           Today we got up early and began our exploration of Death Valley. We started at Badwater Basin, an enormous salt flat. It is also the lowest point in the 48 States.
