... was a great ride. I had a much more fun ride than yesterday; we all did. I think it was probably a mixture of having rode it once and also that we were on the inside for much of the ride today so I know at least that I wasn't as nervous. We stopped at the overlook at almost the end going North and met a great guy that had come over from New Zealand to ride. He flew to Atlanta and drove up and was headed back there now. He said he loves our roads and his wife and he did Rte 66 a ...

... quick pitstop at McDonald's in Waynesville (we needed to get something small because we planned on eating in Hot Springs but the first part of the loop took longer than expected with the delay for the wreck) we headed up NC 209 AKA The Rattler. It was a good road with several twisty areas but overall less impressive to all of us than the hype we'd read online about it. I think it's because while the elevation is higher ...

In Pigeon forge, what once was a cow path is a busy honkytonk of amusement and hotel/motel/restaurants and fun. Dolly World isn't even visible from the main drag. I will have to come back to actually check it out.

As I was riding today, I was hoping that this effort will actually change ...

... day) was to go spend some time at the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. It is about 15 miles from where we are staying but much of it is through the towns of Sevierville, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. There is a bypass to avoid some of this area, but we wanted to see what was there. We planned to take the bypass on the way home.

Our first stop was at the Muscle Car Museum we had seen last night. Since we had Harley with us, I went in by myself to ...

... He also mentioned Melissa Moore. Small world. He showed me a picture of him showing his horse and he looked really good. The Day of Elijah was good and the vocalists were outstanding. The dinner, not so much. The roll was pretty good!

We got back to the coach about 9:00 and I realized that I had missed a FaceTime with Trent and Eva and Britt. Got ready for bed and turned in as we have a full week ahead of ...
