We spent new years eve at Ober Gatlinburg, We rode the tram up. Unfortunately it was very crowded and took us 2 1/2 hours in line to get on the tram. Was pretty ride up to the top of the mountain. But once there they were making snow, and the mountain tops had snow from the night before still on the trees. We ate at the buffet in the restaurant that was excellent, Lot of food ...

It was very steep climb goin up but the view and the cabins are beautiful.

A nice paved trail going 1.3 miles up the mountain to the falls. But it was worth the walk to see the 80 foot waterfall. Unfortunately still no bear sightings but we will keep ...
