... reach Ucluelet on Highway 4 the only road to Ucluelet and Tofino and with the last 20kms it is mountainous with hairpin turns till you skirt around Kennedy Lake (bigger than Mundaring Weir looks like an inland sea). At long last we are at the end of the road left is to Ecluelet and right to Tofino.

As I sit here typing this out at midnight on our last day here (Angie is fast asleep, no doubt dreaming of some shopping trip for local art/fashions/trinkets which I missed) I can’t help but reflect how lucky we are to live on such a diverse planet. Tomorrow we’re off to Kelowna and its going to be a long one day trip to get there. Signing off. Goodbye Tofino and thanks for the memories!!!

So up at 5am, no sleep, full moon, too ecited to fish... not sure what to wear, so I layer up, and wear a rain suit over top. When I showed up, everyone else was dressed the same, phewf. Layer up if you are going fishing!! It is cold.
There is a coffee shop open at that time of day, right across from the Princess dock. I took a gravol, and we rode about 1.5 hours out onto the ocean to get to the "spot"... middle of water to me... ...
