    After that bumped into the armpit women again as I got my bus down towards Punta Gorda – the last town at the bottom of Belize, where I would get the boat into Guatemala. Again Lonely Planet built it up as one of these up and coming ‘get here before anyone else knows about it’ type places but it probably turned out to be the most grim and miserable place (yes it even beats Hull on a cold rainy day) ...

    ... island for a tour of his house. Too bad tom missed it. The house is quite impressive. Hung out there a while then back to check on Tom. Jays girlfried Jocelyn told me to have Tom drink coconut water so I got some and returned to htel. I went for a massage on the beach and stopped at the Tipsy Tuna for a few drinks,The massage was wonderful and I was quite relaxed ...

    ... we wanted to be to get our bus tickets for Belize City. They only take cash, so I tried the ATM. I wanted $3000, which I guess is beyond my limit on the account, except that pesos are not the same as dollars, and that should have only been $300. No cash for YOU!
    Never being without a plan B, we went across the street and exchanged some CAD for Pesos at the rate of 11 per, with no scam factor like at home.
    Our server did not speak ...

Tuesday night we went on turtle patrol but were unfortunately a night early for the first nest which ended up hatching on Wednesday night with 50+ little babies emerging out of the sand - too cute! Luckily the nests in Honduras are a little unusual and hatch over a number of days instead of in one go so Jim got to see the last four hatchlings struggle out of ...
