... cave, we were invited for Mayan Lunch at Avens family. We returned to the Cave after lunch and finally entered the it, equipped only with a headlamp and a swim vest. 1 hour there, 1 hour back. We were basically hiking -either walking or swimming - within a cave. It was great and disturbing at the same time, being cut of from any daylight and any noise.

On the way back to Placencia, they insisted to pass by the Mennonites. They were basically coming in the ...

So lets start with the fact that I'm composing this on my blackberry. Our laptop died, so the likely hood of uploading any more pictures is slim. We're hopeful that we'll be able to recover the pictures and video we saved to it. Yesterday we walked to the north as far as we could go, but we might see about getting a boat ride further on Sunday. In the afternoon we drove to Dangriga to show M the "sights", which didn't take long. We needed to get some ...

... the town. The beach and town are incredibly beautiful and the laid back Caribbean vibe is really infectious. Every local we passed on the street greeted us, people would talk to us in the shops and soon we'd decided that the Belizians are serious contenders to overtake the Irish in terms of friendliness.

We spent the days exploring the town and laying on the beach. At sunset we'd buy a couple of beers and sit on the marina and watch the ...

        No drugs

A travel blog entry by fishwheel on Jan 11, 2014

Slept in and after walking around a bit I took Tom a cup of coffee to see how he was feeling. He can hardly walk. The gout is bad and since we got the wrong meds first we decided to get the bus back to Dangriga to try again. Again, he went to play slots while I went in search of drugs. They did not have what we were looking for but they did sell us morphine, which will as least help with the ...
