The food was amazing and the owners were charming. We got up to leave and were promptly instructed to sit back down while one of the owners made us a small cheese platter. Our American tendency to eat and run was clearly baffling ...

... hadn't had much to drink during the day, it resulted in hangovers for us both. Not great considering we would be crossing a formal border to Hong Kong later in the day. We met up with Mark (a mate from the Beijing training camp) and together we joined the masses pushing their way towards the checkpoint. Within a couple of hours we had passed through both Chinese and Hong Kong customs and we were away.
