What to do if I get no reply? Go to a hostel and ask for a room? Hmm.. not what I'd been waiting for. I'd arrived in HK around 12am (apparently the clock already changed here, so it was one hour earlier than it was in Japan and Korea) and I decided to stay at the airport ...

After that we went on a "mine cart" ride and I highly recommend you to go on that because we went on it 3 times - 2 times at the beginning and 1 time at the end. From here we headed to Nan Lian Garden. It was relaxing ...

    2. Helen purchased a guitar from a very shady Chinese man who was wandering down the street.

It's one thing carrying a guitar through the Hong Kong underground, it's another getting it back on the plane back to the UK !!

Last year a ukulele, this year a guitar, I hope it's not a double bass next year !!

What an action packed day, a different side to Hong Kong and an amazing evening ...

... go a couple of times already but for various reasons hadn't yet made it. Tonight was the night. I knew it tended to get very busy along the promenade so I went, around 6pm to get a good seat. I sat and watched the sun go down, quite quickly and without much glorification, it was there one minute and gone the next. A guy came and sat on the bench next to me. We got chatting. He was from the Netherlands. He was a really interesting guy. He told me that he ...
