Outside on the narrow street a statue of Lennon leans against the wall upon which every brick has the name of someone who played at the Cavern. At the top of the street is Hard Days Night Hotel. Today Pauline & Lona went into Manchester by train, Ian went to work and I had a quiet day. after dinner this evening we were introduced to a new sport, Crown Green Bowls. Lawn bowls on a lumpy green, bit different!!

Tomorrow we are off back to Portsmouth via North Wales, Lona wants to check out her Welsh heritage.
