Today was a public holiday (see yesterday's entry) and everything was closed except the cafés which were doing a great business. The sun was out for a lot of the day too.
The school kids were out in force again with their marching and drumming and having a great time. There were priests and lots of dignataries laying wreaths and then more marching and drumming through the lined streets. It was quite moving to see.

... Back out security doors - Cheryl though I had been kidnapped.
Later wanted to by a few stamps to send post cards - same sort of deal. Plenty of staff inside but only one window open to serve customers. 45 min later i emerged with some idea why this country is in such a mess. Interesting that neither bank or post office staff wear any form of corporate uniform and service is obviously not their highest priority.
