    Weather warm, travellers intrepid. After breakfast we checked out and went for a short walk along the canal while watching barges tying up into the Chester walled township. This has in various incarnations been a Roman fort, medieval town, fortress against the Danes, Royalist stronghold and seat of the Duke of Westminster.     ... busier city than I had expected, which stressed me out. Overall, I think it was a wonderful place to visit and I loved having a tour guide that could show us the touristy things as well as the hidden gems.

    I'm glad I've visiting outside of tourist time. theres still a ton of us but they're sticking to the stuff I'm skipping (castle/shopping). just walking around the green areas is nice and even the military museum was cool (albeit creepy at times as I was the only one in there).

    and yes, I still bought stuff but nothing that I actually need.
