... One was a retired doctor, who travel around Asia a lot. He worked in NY, currently lives in the Dominican Republic, and seems to have worked in lots of other places as well. We pumped him for all sorts of information about Asian countries we haven't been to yet, and Europe and the Caribbean . He has made me even more determined to spend some time in Morocco, hopefully next year. We met another young guy, who was travelling around Asia trying to ...

... Buddha – a gold covered statue over 100 feet long. The main template also includes a Buddha for each day of the week, as well as one for each birth animal. ... which a jungle wonder. We and Alix had a lovely walk the first day along the river and went swimming after getting over the initial fear of the little fish that suck on your toes if you stand still. Then i got really sick and feverish which was rubbish. I think I was just run down from ongoing travelling but it was rubbish. The next day I felt a bit better so we went on a canopy walk with a couple of girls and a guy called Jack which was really fun, then accidently climbed a small ...

There are some things that just fascinate me, like an old fort! I found one here in Penang, right on the water's edge. There's a lighthouse and just across the road are large, modern cruise ships waiting for passengers. The fort is what interests me, though! There are 17 cannons around the fort. Positioned for defense of Penang Harbor. The fort itself is star-shaped. In 1786, the fort was built using trunks from palm trees. It's one of ...
