We didn't really know what to expect of this little town. We couldn't find out much information before we arrived and only knew that our cabin was some distance out of town. A visit to the Visitors' Centre gave us the impression that the area was most recognised for its waterfalls. Well, that's exactly right! Our cabin was in the middle of the forest and all we could hear was the stream running at the edge of the property and the ...

As we were setting up our camp, a young boy (14) walked past us. We casually waved and he continued on his way. This morning we all woke up early ready for horse riding Dylan was very grumpy because he was tired.

Once we all got in the car we set off to Vavenby. It was a whole hour for the journey but when we arrived and saw the horses we all cheered up. We heard chickens clucking in their pen and we saw the horses tied up outside their stable. The french girl working there said there were 14 horses altogether, 12 were girls. Sarah wholes ranch it is sorted us out cowboy ...

Today was a long day, but filled with spectacular scenery, waterfalls, pine trees and nature. We left Kamloops and drove to Wells Gray Provincial Park, Clearwater. We stopped at the Wells Gray information Centre and Joanne and I bought a cap each. We had lunch in the nearby park. Then we were off to see five waterfalls - Spahats Falls, The Mushbowl, Dawson Falls, Helmcken Falls and after a quick dip in Clearwater Lake - for Julie and Michelle - the final waterfall ...

... for the road to clear. Good start to the day.. After about half an hour Rich spots a moose in the marshy lowland - Bullwinkle! It was huge - just like the stereotype pictures you see of them. Unfortunately we had to do a u-turn to get back to him and by that stage he had wandered off into some trees and we couldn't get a clear photo of him. Funnily enough he was not far from Moose Creek. Next up was the beaver lodges. I can't remember the reason why but ...
