We noticed that Bellevue was on the very extensive wine list, so we ordered a bottle excited to finally try it. Just our luck, but they were sold out as well. ... nights felt strange after being with them for so long. I couldn't wait to see them again, but it also made me think what was I going to do when it was time for me to leave for good? When we got back to school the next day, my teacher and now good friend Des offered me a lift home on her mo-ped. I said yes before I realised I had never been on the back of one before. It was great fun ridding through the suburbs of SA with the wind in my hair! And even better I was going home! Makulu home!!

... trip, they make me laugh. they're always looking out over the fence, looks like they're planning a breakout. Had braai with tony and diane and their twins and their kids the last night. We had a divine little luncheon with her and she took us to Fruit & Veg City (a new supermarket discovery with very inexpensive, very delicious produce). We arrived on the thursday and they were going to come and collect us on the friday after we had taken our car back to the airport. ... I flew in and I was so excited to start exploring. It seems a little strange to be this far away from home in a place I've only seen on tv or in a National Geographic magazine. After a short taxi ride from the airport I arrived at the Ashanti Hostel. I could tell immediately that this place was like a 5-star hotel compared to the hostels I stayed at in South America.
