Bhaktivedanta Swami Marg, Rama Reti Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh, India, +91-565-2540-021
... on hearing a British bloke say to his mate, "it's a really kind of peaceful chamber isn't it?" suddenly the crowds and chatter melted away and we could see the space as it was intended. In an attempt to keep the area clean, the authorities ban all food on the site, not ideal for a three year old who had been woken early and hasn't had a sugar hit yet. Fortunately a very nice Indian guide took pity on us, and specifically Cameron - who was crying face down on the marble - by offering him ...
Bharatpur, India samuelkeys... in that evening. The hotel is gorgeous, the rooms surround a small court yard with a fountain (not on to conserve water) and Chandra tells us this was a old Royal Fort. We go for a walk around the village about 5pm and i am supprised about how clean and unsmelly the village is. Delhi was very dirty and smelly so it is nice to be in the countryside. We have dinner at the hotel ...
Bharatpur, India pashbee... you will have heard it from the famous gas tragedy. Strangley though it reminded me of Istanbul as it is a city which surrounds a couple of large lakes. We didn't stay long there but did manage to get to a place called Sanchi which is one of the worlds best preserved Buddah Stupa. Of course I have a few photos which hopefully I ...
Bohpal, India vicky1974... OK. The city is impressive and we had some time before the tour groups turned up to look around in peace. After 2 -3 hours we wondered out to find our Tuk Tuk waiting for us as promised - all for GDP1.25. Next was a visit to another National Park at Bharatpur, this time it is famous for birds. It is supposed to be a marsh land, but years of drought has left most of it bone dry and as a result lacking in birds. We hired a Cycle rickshaw to take us through the ...
Bharatpur, India fish1.1... jim to úplně normální. Byli jsme trochu zmatení, kde to vů ...
Dorazili jsme do města MATHURA, odkud do VRINDAVANU - do nasí destinace jezdí autobusy. Jenze ...
Vrindavan, India lenka-massimo... Delhi is definitely in two parts - crowded, amazing, squalid, exhilerating street life and the posher side in the south. We went to the really upmarket Golf Club featured in Monsoon Wedding. We stayed near the main backpacker part and near the sation which is cool. But, to more important matters. Dad's partner Gill bought him a Nintendo DS for Christmas and I have to complete a set of Maro Kart races and get my brain age down to 20 ...
Dehli, India johnhart... I'm learning quickly, but it is ridiculously annoying! Being my first time here I need to find out where to go, how much to pay, and so on. 90% of the Indians who speak English will try to rip you off or just send you the wrong direction for the hell of it, the other 10% are very helpful:). I finally got some native sannyasi (spiritual seeker) clothing and noticed that I less hasseled, but noticed not making eye contact is usually a good idea. My ...
Vrindavan, India jagadish... motor-bikes, pedestrians, cows, bulls, oxens, buffalos, camel carts, sniffing pigs, and wandering dogs. It was like having a safari by walking on the street. In temples, the "wildlife" species futher extend to monkeys and bats. The air smells of dust, mixed with sugar and milk from the hefty sweet shops. We visited four or five temples on Dec 4th. Among them the headquarter of ISKON (International Society for Krishna ...
Vrindavan, India globalfly... saints in Hinduism. And although the main gods are the same for all, depending on what area of India you come from, there will be quite a difference between the rest. It is considered the most difficult religion to define. On almost any given day of the year, somewhere in India there is a festival to celebrate either a god's birthday or their death. And like Canada, the geography changes incredibly from one part to another. Snow covered mountains in the North and the Great ...
