... shall we say challenging us when we advise its best to don a couple of layers which have full length sleeves and full length pants, plus a coat, scarf and mittens. She flatly refused today to wear pants, so we had to opt for a dress with woollen tights - I managed to sneak in a few layers underneath. ... lots of meat and bean soup! At dinner I joined up with a Canadian couple who live 6 months in Canada and 6 months in New Zealand. They were telling me about freighter ships that take passengers...mmmm something else to think about!
it was kind of nice to come back to my room and watch some rather rubbish English TV last night and enjoy having. Kettle and teapot in my room!!

... I saved a fortune! At least Tan's new shoes will have some friends for the way home. Dinner that night we went to visit Jamie Oliver at his Italian restaurant in Piccadilly... Oh my lord the food was gooooood... As you can see in the photo the "Ultimate Sharing Plate" was indeed ultimate, and delicious in that creepy Bruce McAvaney way. Tan loved her lobster so much she managed to get a romantic glow in the photo... Looks like a romance scene from Days of our Lives. Interesting ...
