We stayed here just two nights in a hostel in the downtown area with friendly, helpful hosts and spent our time exploring and getting a feel for this city, walking the waterfront and surviving the heatwave.

... goodbye to Cora who would not being following us down into South America. She was planning on working her way back through Panama to Costa Rica where she was meeting up with her mum for a while to round off her trip. I had really enjoyed travelling with Cora and would miss her a lot, especially when we would be having English Vs Canadian debates, I would be decidedly outnumbered from this point.

Their crazy old landlord, Alberto, gave us nasty, watery jello and once he left, the guys took my dish and tossed it over the balcony so I wouldn’t have to eat it. Dagmar wasn’t so lucky. Alberto returned and stayed to watch her eat it. I rubbed it in by telling her she had to eat it all because Alberto gave it to us. He agreed and kept compelling her to eat more.
David is a lovely host and the appartment we stayed in was huge. The bed was very comfy and we had plenty of room for our stuff and the air-con worked well. The kitchen was well kitted out and the use of the laundry was a huge bonus. It was a great start of Airbnb experience
