Woke up to pancakes for breakfast at our gorgeous hostel. We are staying in South Beach (on the Miami beach peninsula), which is (surprise) right next to the beach, so we spent our morning battling it out with rollerbladers, cyclists and segway riders to walk along the beach. The view is gorgeous and the weather is so lovely and warm, it's like being home!

Today we went to the Everglades. This was the highlight of our Miami trip. We went on an airboat ride through swamp followed by an alligator wrestling demonstration.
The airboat ride was fantastic. The swamp is stuffed full of fish, turtles, alligators and birds. An eight foot long alligator swam right up to the side of the boat next to Alison. Apparently they can jump in to the boat. ...
