... which was also nice! we pool hopped for most of the evening before finishing up at the hot waterfall! We spent at least 6 hours all in all & was a piece of heaven, would highly recommend a day like this. We got a taxi back to town, got something to eat, but we were so lazy after such a relaxing day, we decided to finish it off watching tv & ***********!!

As we walk down the beach to our hotel when a small girl came out from the bushes and in her hands, two fresh LIVE LOBSTERs!!!!!!

'You want eat lobster sir?' she said innocently with her Vietnamese accent. We turn around and look at each other and said, YES!!!!! Oh i swear i could just give that girl a big hug!!!

So I have my barbeque lobster eventually. Topped with a sweet spicy sauce and lemon dips! God bless that little girl. I was in heaven!!

... I were seen on the evening news...looking quite good at the ceremony. We were photographed extensively. By the way, the students cheered faculty and each other like we were at a baseball game. With this kind of passion the Vietnamese will surely be a country to contend with in the future. They want education more than American kids want their playstations and ipods. I very much want to be a part of their persuit of excellence.

The overnight bus from Hoi An to Nha Trang was a once in a lifetime experience. Cheap but an uncomfortable 11 hour journey. It's a sleeping bus, so it has a kind of bed but it's not flat so needless to say we couldn't wait to get off!

The funny thing was when we were arriving into Nha Trang the amount of people up and exercising down by the beach and it was only 5.30am. It was quite unreal, seemed like a scene from LA or Miami. The Vietnamese start work early, it ...

... a LOT of monkeys running around you could feed. Lots of babies were gripping onto their Mums & hanging upside down... very cute! Again we could have followed the crowd but just chilled out! Very unlike me to do that - very into my book & needing some catch up rest!!.



We got back to the hotel & had a bit of a wash ...

... really Simon's cup of tea but bless him he humours me.... (transformers.... need i say more!!).

The beach was less touristy than i feared and very blue which was lovely.  somehow today Simon mand\aged ro get sunburbnt in the shade??  How?

... a small village close to Hoi An – saw some traditional boat building going on plus the usual sell of local wood carvings. Also watched a bit of carving and preparing of shells etc for inlaying – skill and patience being an understatement here.

Eventually got back into Hoi An and called round to try out our new clothes . The quality of the work was excellent and the fit very good. Checks made for final fitting, buttons etc made. Ready to pick up later that ...

... away.. it's sad but you have to think how little they have. Its hard not to get angry too.. every two minutes, buy this or that, people driving up asking 'you want motorbike!'..or to buy books, sun glasses, cigarettes, cards, .. you name it!

... nice, went snorkeling, saw lots of nice exciting fish and corals, stopped for about an hour. The boat then moved on to our lunch and floating bar stop, which was certainly an experience.

Lots of food (pretty basic, bread, noodles, rice, fish and soup) emerged on the now tables (that were benches) and we ate a little, and was surprisingly nice. Then, the real treat, and the reason the book called the trip 'the hottest ticket'. The ...
