... damage, but....oh well.

We had planned this morning to have the included-in-the-price continental breakfast, but someone forgot to check when the kitchen closed and we arrived at 8.30am - 5 mins after closing time. So we did the most predictable thing and chooffed off to Macca's for the usual.....

... we walked over rocks, shells and sand, we paddled in the water, which was not too cold, and then walked up to the top of a hill along with lots of other people. The word was obviously out that there were whales frolicking in the water. Paul even saw one, but I missed it. Sad! From our high vantage point, there were people sitting on the lawn, elbows resting on their knees, looking through their long lens ...

... in the boat both on land and sea. Best of both worlds! Just looked strange reversing a boat into a caravan site. Anyway, said goodbye to our new friends, as well as John, the cheeky Manager of Nobby Beach Holiday Village. We can strongly recommend this Park to anyone travelling up this way. He certainly looks after you. So nice to have people with a sense of humour! Popped into Coolangatta and had a walk on the beach for the last time, then drove to Tweed ...

... spooked and hopped off, but I managed to capture their photo before they left.

We then continued to our actual destination - Evans Head beach. We had a really great stroll along the beach, seeing crabs, and mussels, and beautiful Pacific Ocean views. And when we hiked back to the car, a Kangaroo was there to greet us, although he quickly took off when we got close. It was a very special day.
