Today, though, I am just about half way there when I hear some american country music from somewhere. I follow the sound and it's four guys with guitars, harmonica and an accordion. They are not performing for money or on a stage. They are just standing around on the beach sidewalk picking and singing. I expect they do play together as a band, but are now just killing some time. Jenika and Becky told me that the little fish eat dead skin off of your feet. After much prodding, I decided to give it a shot. It was awesome! We were soon brought back down to earth by mundane questions about practical matters, such as dirty washing and food requirements (universal favourite topics of mothers worldwide). It did however feel blissful to have a hot, powerful shower and the prospect of not unpacking and packing our two bags for at least a few weeks. Home, wherever in the world and ...

... the beach chairs, just to look at this stunning ocean for a bit, and rest my senses in beauty. Then I swam, as far out as I could without being beheaded by one of the motor boats racing around pulling tourists in rafts behind them, dunking them on a fast turn. The water was perfect, not quite as warm as the ocean in Hua Hin, but the waves were nicer; perfect ocean swimming. I love to swim in the Gulf of Thailand! I would do it every day if I ...
