... make sure it is actually real. I cannot wait for the actual teaching to begin and to meet the students and teachers but for right now, I am content with trying to see as much of Shanghai as possible (which probably wont be very much, maybe I will have to come back!)

That is all for now, a lot of information was absorbed today and hopefully a lot more tomorrow with my first basic Mandarin lesson! I can’t wait!

Don't worry everyone! I am alive and well! I just heard about the Shanghai metro crash and it was completely shocking. My roommate and I took that same line just last week to go to the zoo and she takes it every Sunday to go tutor. Needless to say, we will be avoiding subways for the time being :) But all is well for now! Love love love ...
