The idiot's guide to carbon-footprints

... to make it work. Good things to compost include vegetable peelings, fruit waste, teabags, plant prunings and grass cuttings. These are known as ‘Greens’ and are quick to rot while providing important nitrogen and moisture. Other ideal compost ingredients include cardboard egg boxes, scrunched up paper and fallen leaves, which are known as ‘Browns’, and are slower to rot while providing fibre and carbon. Crushed eggshells can also ...

She and another teacher were finished with their experience and were on their way back home. Same with another volunteer who had just finished her safari. I can't believe this will be the second time I'm in Kenya and no safari. Oh well, I have a feeling I will be back soon. Anyway, we talked for a while and then went to bed. Two nights in a row I woke up and could ...

Ladies Only Weekend in Mombasa

I love my family here, but I wish I could live on my own. Anyway, we all sort of just relaxed all day and we finally made it to the beach around 530 or so, right at dusk. Then Momma called and I was happy and we talked for an hour. Because I was on the phone, I didn't have to talk to any of the obnoxious ...
