... They had placed a large cooler by the entrance that was entirely filled with beer and canned mixed drinks, which was being actively refilled by an employee. There was a mass of people both outside and in, with a line to check-out that was entirely filled with young, drunk people buying more alcohol. ... at one time. It is supposedly full of nutrients, and is treated as a health food. We liked the idea of dessert being a health food :)

Now, back safe and sound in our hotel room, and about to watch a movie before bed. The 7/11 outside our hotel had mini wine bottles and chocolate! Tomorrow, we are going to meet up with a friend from Wesleyan who lives here, and see more of the city. Maybe the art museum and a ferry ride?

Sun Nov 3rd There is no doubt about it that HK comes alive at night. As you will see from one of the latest photos posted, the view from Kowloon to HK island is spectacular to say the least. We ate outside at a local restaurant yesterday evening, trying various delicacies of the type not seen in the UK. The pickled ginger with preserved egg was certainly memorable!
