"We have electric blankets", the woman on the phone had said. Now that sounded like a promise! We had read about Lijiang, a little old village at the foot of Snow Dragon Jade Mountain, and we heard that there might be minus degrees by night. If they have electric blankets, we can go, we decided. When Zhao junior (fabulous Zhao Shushu's son) told us …

I know he’d do the same for me in a similar circumstance and it felt right to put some justice and equanimity into the world. Lessons learned and accepting the hard truths of the day, we pace back to our guesthouse, feeling older, wiser and our eyes opened wide to the duality of human existence and our embrace of it in ...

HEAVY rain halted the search for a Shanghai teacher who has been missing
for nearly a week on a mountain in Yunnan Province.

      About 600

last Tuesday, when he went hiking solo on Cangshan Mountain in Dali

The area is more than 3,000 meters above sea level.
