We pass 5 days at Sandat Mas cottages and it was really nice. Quiet place with a swimmingpool and very clean rooms. It was a littlte bit expensive in comparison with the North of Bali (350'000 rps without A/C), but we enjoy staying there.

Day 4 - The Bukit Peninsula

... dipped in and out the sea weedy waters, explored a bit around the rocks until I got bored from not and headed back to the hostel to shower and freshen up before heading to watch the sun set at Uluwatu temple. The temple was almost non existent, only small pieces of the original structure remained, but the setting was beautiful. Lots of green trees, and a long walkway along the clifftop edge with the sea crashing in below, and lots of monkeys. They ...

... jumping and lifting, contrived and cheesy. We felt for the little Asian grooms who more than once dropped their brides in the surf. There's a pay-what-you-think-its-worth yoga class under a coconut grove, at sunset, which Emma enjoyed, while I finished The Count of Monte Christo - content for the first hour and bored for the second, yoga seemed as long as a stay in the D'if. We drove home in the dark. Uluwatu Ulu to the locals exists solely for one thing, surfing. ...

... for the next entire week I was unable to venture too far from facilities. Fortunately, we had settled in a nice clean and comfy place in Padang Padang, Uluwatu, not far from my cousin’s family house. The next 10 days we spent with lazy mornings, trips to the beach and visits to see Ollie and his wife Lily and two beautiful daughters Putu and Made. We hired a moped daily and pegged the few kilometres along ...

... have the guts to jump in on one of those matches. Those dudes were good and awfully flexible. The following day we had scheduled a tour of the War Remnants Museum and the Cu Chi Tunnels. This is where the fun ended. The museum shed light on a war I was too young to remember. Having the story told to me from the side of the Vietnamese left my heart feeling extremely heavy and many questions still unanswered. Why did the United States feel so compelled to engage in a war that ...

... the taxi counter, however they quoted us a price that is higher then that was being written on the board. We left the counter without booking a cab and check if there is another counter at the other side of the terminal building. As my friend and I was walking, a few touts approached us and asked if we wanted taxi. All of them quoted a price that is significantly higher then that from the counter. We couldn't find another counter and went back to get a taxi from ...
