We pass 5 days at Sandat Mas cottages and it was really nice. Quiet place with a swimmingpool and very clean rooms. It was a littlte bit expensive in comparison with the North of Bali (350'000 rps without A/C), but we enjoy staying there.

... my luck and went for it. It was super cheap to rent for the day, about £3 or thereabouts, and that got me a helmet too. After a very brief explanation, I was off. It was pretty straight forward and I just took my time, not letting anyone pressure me to go faster than I felt comfortable, equally I didn't want to go to slow and cause an accident. Once I got the hang of it, it was pretty fun but I never felt entirely safe the whole day. I just used ...

... that was more mud brown than blood red. South Kuta We booked our Homestay, Villa Rica, through a surf company that only tells you the address on your confirmation, a surprise, though they guarantee the quality. Rica, like our previous homestays doesn't have anyone on hand for complaints, praise or even payment. The family live within their walls and you fend for yourself. What it does have is a feeling that you're bunking down at your mates instead of at an impersonal hotel. ...

... entrance to a good anchorage, very flat & protected, but unfortunately not good for swimming. Heard a call from Luna Ray who were having difficulties with their engine cutting out. So the boys took our dinghy out to help them in and then proceeded to diagnose the problem and fix it. Fingers crossed they got it right and after travelling to the next couple of places looks like they got it right.

... have a clue. A nice touch in the room is they provide 2 free beers as well as 2 free waters, but the bad thing is there is absolutely no storage for your clothes. On the first night we decided to google local restaurants on trip advisor and found one in the top 3 called Kat's Kitchen, it actually happened to be right across the street. we had a lovely meal here and it was super cheap we shared a starter had 2 mains and a drink each for 139,000 Rp which was £7. ... I couldn't even get to the toilet for one of them guarding the entrance- he looked like he wanted to jump on my head. Last stop on our tour was Dreamland beach, it is part of a hotel resort and quite expensive but we decided to treat ourselves to an afternoon there. Catherine hit the pool, which was an amazing infinity pool looking out to the beach and sea and I went down to the beach to watch the surfers again. The way some of them twisted and turned over the ...
