On route to get to this store, Kuya Ronnie stopped at a shopping plaza to use the restroom (or "comfort room" to you Filipinos haha). As we began pulling away from the plaza, I noticed a store called "Balikbayan Handicrafts" and saw wood carvings outside. I said to my Ate Baby, "Do you think they'll have something there?" So we stopped and went into the store to see what they had. We didn't have any luck finding a last ...
... but unfortunately could not find the wood carving my Mom wanted. The one she gave me was made of one piece of wood and was left in it's natural state. The carving we found was painted (well, the clothes of Jesus and the disciples was painted) and honestly, didn't look as good as the one I have at home :( Good news was, since we were in a store selling FIlipino goods, I got a few souvenirs while I was there!
