48 Samsen Rd., Soi Samsen 3, Banglumpoo Bangkok, Thailand
We had decided that our time would be better spent on the sandy beaches of the Thai Islands than in another city, so our time in Bangkok was short.
We found ourselves a really good gusthouse, just a short walk from the Khoa San road, and from there we slowly explored the local area, and a couple of the big sites.
We spent a few hours in the Grand Palace, sampled all that the public transport system had to offer (local buses, sky train and the ferry service) and did the last few ...

... and offered to have me hop on the back and drive us since it would be faster and then we wouldnt leave Mady standing there alone. Nice idea, but it was pretty difficult and we were in hysterics most of the trip because we knew how ridiculous we looked.
Anyways, the next morning we got up early to start our journey to Ko Samet. We had to wait a while for a bus, but finally made it down there and collapsed on the beach. The water ...
... I think the driver thought he had won the lotto with gullible passengers because we soon became his petrol prostitutes that he would drive to various clothing and jewelery places in town.
Today we checked out of our double room and into a dorm room. It only dawned on me on the way back tonight, that I have no clue about dorm etiquette. For the uninitiated, this means ...
... br>After our meal we head further along the streets, over the main road and there we find, on the cotinuation of Soi Rambuttri, the place we were originally going to stay. This street it uber chilled and rather bijouxish for use of a better word!! Lots of lantern and street mats line the street which is filled with little drinking establishments with dimmed lights. We take a seat in one at the end and order some more food, more beers and good old shots of vodka ...
Bangkok, Thailand followingmyfeet... clean my Ipod touch, that my brother gave to me and it has been coming in handy here. So while I was waiting I took a look around the store. Then I noticed two Male tourists enter the store. To my ear's delight they were from Spain, so like any other Spanish speaker stranded in an Asian country would do, I quickly introduced my self and jumped in on the conversation. One of them wanted to buy a high end I-phone imitation from China. They had been to the shop the day ...
... and helpless. I spent the next day doing very small circles, and went to the pharmacy where the nice lady declared that I ‘looked bad,’ and as usual here handed me a handful of paracetamol, which apparently fixes everything. As it turned out I didn’t make it to a hospital for seven days, and when I did after three hours of ushering me into different small rooms, testing everything, prodding me, and a whole lot of waiting, the doctor confirmed that they could not see dengue ...
Ko Samet, Rayong, Thailand oniburger... home, repeat. It was easy living. Our biggest problem was that Jep's, our regular restaurant, were hilariously inefficient. An average meal would result in an average of 3 mess ups by the staff, and would often take up to two hours. Not a huge number of talking points from these few days, other than standard night out laughs. Jay and Pancake arrived to join us for a day or two, which was cool if slightly surreal. When I left home I hadn't expected to see any ...
Koh Samet, Thailand lnb203... First wine I've drunk for 4 months. I'm not a big drinker, but I really enjoyed it. Sat outside the bungalow and enjoyed a good bottle of plonk listening to the waves hitting the beach. Day 100 - 01/06/08 Today is my 100th day in Asia. Asia has been pretty rough to me so far, but I've thoroughly enjoyed my time here. No pain no gain hey! Boat and bus journey back to Bangkok today from the relaxed Koh Samet. Could have quite easily stayed ...
Koh Samet, Thailand christosp... and beer. She smiles and pats my bum. Apparently, I have a juicy booty. I take my coffee across the street and enjoy it while enjoying the sea breeze. Later, I greet the sixty some odd students in my training program who are as nervous as me. I've realized that I am shy, that I really know nothing, that I am just as
