... a busy town. Bought Xmas decorations for children and also went to Waitrose to buy some food.Unfortunately the surrounds were very hazy and unable to get photos of the lovely green rolling hills with little villages amongst the trees and sheep and cows grazing in the fields. Took photos of houses etc in Abbotsbury as a quaint village. After a long day's drive reached Weymouth about tea time. Ate at a nice little restaurant called Shelley's ...

... evolve as the cliffs are eroded by the sea – lots of areas closed off due to rock falls. The clay and limestone deposits erode much faster than the stone, causing the cliffs to "crumple" and appear almost vertical. The scenery there was much more spectacular - see the photos. Unfortunately, that was all we had time for – we drove home a different way which took only 1 hrs!

... I had printed at home.

I was pretty bummed out that we drove right by Stonehenge and did not have the time to park and take a look. I have been there before, back in the days when one could walk among the stones and touch them. Now there are fences around the stones and nobody can get within 50 feet of them. I’m glad we visited them when we did.

We stopped at a Welcome Service wayside at Tamworth ...
