After a day or so of recovering, and Jodies newly redamaged back, we boarded a bus for Phonsavan. Phonsavan is a tiny tiny town which has a small food market, and nothinhg much else.     My husband and I stayed here after crossing the border, on our way to Luang Namtha. Great room upstairs and the sun set was amazing. Clean. Good location.
