We were approached off the sleeper train from Bangkok and agreed to go with SK house (free taxi) and check out their rooms. We found that the staff were very friendly, the guest house had a lot of charm and the rooms were clean. I have heard lots of mixed reviews for SK, but we had a good stay. One piece of advice for fellow travellers is to shop around before booking your tours as SK house do try to get you booked in for a higher rate than you can get from other travel agents. Check what prices are and then you can negotiate.

SK House is in a great area close to the bars and restaurants and the rooms are a good size with everything you need. The guest house has a swimming pool, internet room, and a bar/restaurant/cafe area at reception which was quite nice. Clean, modern rooms and would recommend to anyone visiting Chiang Mai.
