... mountain pass. On the bus a regular activity has been termed by Maree as "passing the buck". This consists of money being handed (from one person to another) back to Kaye (aka moffy - the minister of finance) and then changed passed back. Some days, the bus seems a flood with rand! The group was amused David’s turn of phrase of the historical origin of “Ida’s Valley” -the outcome of ...

An English/Canadian couple of old dears who looked like bags of s**t, but thought they were wine experts. Plus the Germans of which ...

First we went through Hout Bay for a boat ride to see a Seal colony, we saw a few seals at the rescue centre but due to the previous horrendous weather we couldn't get too close to the rocks, but a boat ride is definitely the best way to start the day and by this time it was friggin' cold but absolutely beautiful. I just kept thinking that everything was ...

... who we just heard passed away.

Fairview is a cheese farm as well as a winery, and our tasting was accompanied by a selection of goat and other cheeses. While nothing special by Quebec cheese standards (and yes, I'm aware how much of a cheese snob that makes me sound like), the cheeses were far better than the wrapped processed stuff that I fully expect to be eating for most of my camping safari trips. I bought some flavoured ...
