... filled lives. It is exactly how Fremantle should be as a university town and just isn't. Great little boutique hotels and bars along with the full scale of restaurants from cheap digs to first class affairs right beside vibrant small business of all sort. No vacant shops here and the whole place a buzz with life and activity. The town is surrounded by "wine farms" the SA term for vineyards, and ragged mountains tower close by.

We were running out of time, so we just drove up to Hidden Valley to check out the view and take a few photos. ... fantastic. After that we drove to a place to eat lunch at Le Pommier Wine Estate. I had a warm chicken and avocado salad. It was delicious. A few minutes after we sat down, some guy walked up to our table to yell at us. He accused us of using his name to get the table. We had no idea who the guy was or what his name was. It was a very nice table that the waitress sat us ...

... t be walking in a certain area since it was dangerous. This was at 5:30 am. The hostel itself as nice as it was, had two pedestrian gates and three locks in general to enter the premises. Cape Town wasn't like Johannesburg by any stretch (not that I dared to go to downtown JoBurg), but I was somewhat surprised and bummed that I'd have to be extra careful here too. I always take caution when I'm traveling in general, especially in a big city, but I do like to look around ...
