Drives around the Western Cape are beautiful and our weekend trips to Langebaan and Stellenbosch were no exception.

One good thing about coming in (so called) winter is that the places I'm visiting aren't packed out so I'm getting to see them properly without having to squeeze my way through to get a glimpse.

One weekend was spent driving around the Cape to Langebaan lagoon which is a popular beach with Capetonian families because the water is so ...

... temperature had risen dramatically into mid-20's. Hotel manager suggested strongly that it would be unwise to attempt Lions Head in midday heat but kiwis are tough of course so we set off to climb. ... African food and atmosphere were phenomenal! Tonight will consist of packing, packing, and more packing (I swear my clothes have multiplied while I've been here). Tomorrow morning, we will visit Kirstenbosh Botanical Gardens before heading to the airport to make our departure. Looking back, this week has been both exciting and nerve-wracking, heart-warming and ...

... a chicken, bacon, and tomato hot sandwich/wrap and it was delicious! After dinner dinner we walked around a bit more then headed back to the hostel for the night. Some of us went up to the roof and talked for a while about our thoughts from the day in the township. I'm really loving this trip and the people I've met from school. I can't believe it's getting towards the end. I wish it was longer on one hand, but I do really miss home. All for now, love you lots! ...
