Bags packed and our Turtle Cove experience coming to an end at 10:00 check-out time, our taxi arrived promptly at 10:00 am to take us to the North Eleuthera International Airport. The cab driver made a brief stop along our driveway to gather some ripe mangos from our favorite tree. Life is very relaxed on Eleuthera. We arrived at the airport 20 minutes later, checked our bags and walked across the unbusy street to kill some time at the ...

We've spent the last several days just hanging out at Turtle Cove. Nothing new to report, our vacation in the Bahamas beginning to wind down. We turned the boat around and were horrified by the sight of a huge... I really mean HUGE! ferry boat that transports folks from Nassau to Harbor Island twice a day. Needless to ...

Delightfully uneventful

... Linda spotted a large nurse shark swimming by our dock yesterday afternoon. They are pretty much harmless to humans but at first a little unnerving when observed for the first time, in the wild. Especially, as Linda described this one being as big as she! Occasionally, we'll take a short spin in our boat, but to date haven't done much exploring... preferring our more laid-back mode. We plan to boat over to Harbor Island some day this week, but have ...
