I have to admit, I have no idea what that is. I presume it is some kind of weather disturbance based on the dark clouds creeping up from the southwest of our location. And the winds are picking up a bit. Stacy saw something on the television while I was preflighting the plane in Fort Pierce, but it was predicted to pass over Eleuthera early-mid week. We don't mind some heavy weather while we're here, as long as it doesn't keep us from ...

We can barely see Harbor Island from Turtle Cove as it is about 3 miles by water (as a motivated fish in a hurry, swims). To put everything in the proper context, it has been over 20 years since the Captain has piloted a boat... and even then it was a familiar boat ... and this is the maiden voyage for the First Mate. As we crossed the bay we had only one event, and for the most part, that was ...

Our private beach

Adjacent to our hammock is a nicely cleared trail that leads off into the thick jungle which covers most of North Eleuthera Island, including the area surrounding Turtle Cove. The 8 minute walk on the narrow cleared path ended at the most beautiful beach we have ever seen. This is our private beach, accessible only by boat and ...
