... by the coast guard patrolling around the boat, complete with manned machine gun mounted on the bow. Apart from keeping pleasure boats away I suppose they are trying to stop 'stuff’ being thrown on or off the ship?? We turned south into some pretty rough seas and are off the Bahamas. The rough seas must be unexpected as water was slopping out of the pool near the Fitness Centre and flooding into the corridor. By the time we had eaten dinner it was 9:00pm. Back ...

... is very quiet - not many people out.

Was going to wake up for sunrise but too tired. Slept in. Go to beach to try out snorkeling. Windy and waves so poor visibility and no fish. Didn't go out too far though (no fins). Walk around town a bit then to beach. Read, lay around. Into town for snack and wash shorts. Out again and it's cloudy. Read at beach then to Blue Bar for a beer. $8! Back to ...

... The Island itself is only 110 miles long and TWO miles wide at its widest point. At its narrowest point, the island is just 30 feet wide. It was very hot today with a nice warm breeze making it just about bearable! We saw several villages and stopped to see the government building and some churches too. I was able to paddle in the sea as I looked for shells to bring home. The water was lovely…crystal clear and warm. ...
