... the Tender boats from Level 3 of the ship and motored over to the Island. It took about ten minutes. The Ship is enormous when you're right up beside it. Both getting off and getting back on, we needed to show our room "sale and sign" cards and have photo ID available. ... The Island itself is only 110 miles long and TWO miles wide at its widest point. At its narrowest point, the island is just 30 feet wide. It was very hot today with a nice warm breeze making it just about bearable! We saw several villages and stopped to see the government building and some churches too. I was able to paddle in the sea as I looked for shells to bring home. The water was lovely…crystal clear and warm. ...

It had been a long time since we had done a regular laundry and we spent the next few hours ashore at the new local laundromat (only two years old) which was very nice and reasonably close to shore.
