... Arrive, check in, change into swimmers. Grab some pastries from Arthur Cafe then go to Pink sands beach. Walk, hang out, walk more. Clouds come in so go to hotel and shower. To Sunsets Bar for beer while watch sunset. Talk to a couple from Virginia there about places to eat. Ma Rudy's has no people so skip, try to find Harry O's but end up at Queen Conch. Slow service. ... in Harbor Island. In contrast to Spanish Wells, nearly all houses, large and small, were in poor repair and the overall town (called Dunmore Town) appearance was rundown, disorganized and junky. This seemed to be consistent along the harbor side, the adjacent town and immediate environs. Along the beach side of the island, among the trees and flowering bushes were very upscale, gated, residences and hotel/resorts. Our choice for lunch was a restaurant called "Sip Sip", ...

... The Island itself is only 110 miles long and TWO miles wide at its widest point. At its narrowest point, the island is just 30 feet wide. It was very hot today with a nice warm breeze making it just about bearable! We saw several villages and stopped to see the government building and some churches too. I was able to paddle in the sea as I looked for shells to bring home. The water was lovely…crystal clear and warm. ...
