      ... ruins in different areas of SE Asia and then to piece together the history.

      Getting there was as easy as taking the BTS a few stops away and then waiting for a minivan to fill up with tourists. The drive was only an hour and once "on the island" (the city is engulfed by the Chao Praya River) a tuk tuk drove us from sight to sight.

      ... Asia that Asians try to exploit to tourist, it was ****. After spending all of 5 minutes in the cave we jumped back in the car and continued on our way. We passed a small village stopping for a quick snack and a drink before continuing on and seeing a sign for a waterfall, we had ample time so followed it.       ... here it was a short walk to Wat Pho. The grounds we entered were extensive and included many temples as well as several Budhas - emerald, reclining, standing, sitting. The weather by now was quite hot and humid. This, together with the need to remove shoes at most temples, led three of our party to opt to wait in the shade for the last half of this segment.
