... we met and then came back...not a lot to be said for this area except the Port and Shipping Canal was something to see but being on the A1, stopping to take pictures of massive container ships being load or unloaded as well as sailing under very high bridges may not the be the local Polizie's idea of sight seeing!

... my German had become a little rusty, and Johanna's mother didn't speak the best English. What resulted were hilarious conversations in some sort of English-Germany creole. But as those who have travelled before will know - a language barrier does not stop you having fun! Walking together around the Christmas markets I found out much about Johanna's mother, as she told me all about the farm they own in southern Germany.

... remembered to dodge the bike riders in the bike lanes as you get on/off the bus. We had a coffee and tea before entering Tivoli. It was a great place for kids as there were heaps of rides. The gardens were beautiful and at night it would really look a picture. I worked out the best bus to catch to the hippie part of town. What an eye opener!! Little stalls with army camouflage around them where you could go in and purchase ...

... concrete of the airport floor - only to find everyone staring at me like a complete weirdo.

I caught the flight to Bremen and upon arriving I decided to see if I could get a nice stamp in my passport - with just 2 stamps after visiting 21 different countries it was looking a little bare...and unlike in Espain, the Germans were happy to oblige and provided me with a sexy stamp - despite the confused reaction when the answer to 'Is this you're first ...
