I also need to mention that even in the beginning of the walk, the sides of the trail were lined with stones mentioning the name of the ships and the date when they were sunk during the war by the Japanese. Of the many, the only name that stands in my mind is HMAS Vampire, a peculiar name, but unfortunately junk during the war.

... It was the first one I’ve seen that needed a fellow standing on the boat to help the pilot make the jump across! Post pedicure, there was another lie down and a review of the TV programming.
