... integrated on the balcony. Never seen this before!

The town fills up with tourists, mainly in the evening, and it is even a challenge to walk on one of the main pedestrian streets, West street, where there are many clothing, shoe stores, creative shops, restaurants and bars. One amazing shop on that street was the Post Office: worth seeing how a Post Office can ...

... to have us about! We stopped for food in one of the street cafe's to try my first of many rice noodles (noodles is undoubtably my staple food out here, they love their noodles!) The first evening introduced me to the many bars in Yangshuo, termed 'duff duff's' by the group, after a few games of Liar's Dice (popular Chinese bar game played with cups and dice) and some guessworks with drinks decided to head ...

... buying any “tat” to bring home for you J .
Our hotel is a little way out of the town - about 30 minutes walk and is set on a hillside looking over the river and the karsts - I don’t think we have stayed in many more scenic locations.
This evening we went into the town and had a meal in a local restaurant - we tried the local specialty - Fish baked in beer and some Sweet and Sour Chicken (my staple Chinese take away meal) - the sweet and sour ...
