The last four hours of which -- you know, the mountain part -- were in pouring rain and the last 15 miles -- you know, to the inn part -- were in pouring rain and pitch black darkness on the Blue Ridge Parkway. I literally kissed the ground when I got out of the car. Then drank the better half of a bottle of Gewurztraminer with dinner.

... As expected, there were old worn warehouses which artists had occupied and set up shop.  They left the commercialism behind and focused on the art.  It was wonderful to see them at work! ... Flat Rock and enjoyed awesome BBQ lunch at Bubba BBQ behind the Wrinkled Egg. A sudden torrential rain while in the store.
