Ahhhhhhhhhhh

... that was my cue to say that I was not well. There was no way that I was going anywhere in a car with anyone. We had a nice meal though at the street markets in the square lots of meat and salads and I had like a dumpling with chicken and pastry and sweet spices on it really really nice. We said our goodnights and he asked if we would like to meet up again tomorrow we have said yes but we have different plans now as Mohammad is going to cook us a meal in the Riad.
Nothing Like it on Earth

... a pic and Ian did not want the snake around his neck. He was demanding that we go to the bank and get some money and being really nasty so in the end I just dumped the 2d in his had and grabbed Ian and walked off.

We ended up having a walk around and going to the restaurant that we had seen in the day it was an oasis of calm after the street sellers. Ian had tajine of lamb and I had chicken we both had 3 courses and it cost us about 13 pounds and the food was lovely.
Palaces And Tombs In Marrakesh, Morocco

11.3.09 Palaces And Tombs In Marrakesh, Morocco

We hit Café du Livres – the Internet café inside a used English bookstore – at around 9:30am this morning, and stayed there until nearly noon, enjoying a great breakfast and generally catching up on some emailing and other Web stuff. At noon, we went back to Hotel du Pacha and checked out – then left our luggage there and headed back down to the Medina (Old City).
<br ...

He said, "No, no yogurt," but later came back and said, “Yogurt, oui?” “Oui!,” I said, and then watched as he ran across the street, dodging traffic, to purchase my yogurt from a little shop, bring it back to the restaurant, place it on a small saucer, put a napkin and small spoon to the side, and serve it gracefully to me. What service!

After breakfast, we hit the streets of ...

A final day in "The Red City", Marrakech

Tourist day in Marrakech

I'm a bit behind on the blog so I'll add photos and flesh this out later. Rob and I took the day to go and visit three of Marrakech's finest touristspots. I though they would be too tourist-y for us but we were amazed by there beauty. All three are old historic sites in the city. 1) Musee Dar si Said is a new museum in an old palace. This palace is so ...

Turbulence under Sunny Skies / A Disappearance

... back the way we came to see if he can find him. Mohammad has no success, so we have no choice but to continue on our way to the square, hoping that the man will find his way there and we will be lucky enough to espy him. No luck. We spend a free period wandering the square and enjoying all the amazing entertainment, but our lost soul does not materialize. What follows is a period of rather nervous phone calls and visits to places where we think he might be, finally ...

... and coincidently had accommodation available). Upon our arrival we managed to shake him off and we checked into the local Youth Hostel where we were better able to plan our route. Now there's nothing Mr R likes more than a nice cold beer at the bottom of a big mountain. Whilst Mrs R, she's well up for climbing them. And there lies the difference. So the next day we set off up the valley. An exhausting 4 hours later we met a young boy who showed us ...
