... black run back to Birg.
Ruth and I took this in the morning as the snow was in good condition and it was less busy than later. The run was in good shape and it is always a good challenge, however it finishes with a long track section which is uphill at the end, the trick being to keep as much speed as you dare from the steeper section. We started our day off with a tram ride from Murren, which is at about 5000 ft. to the Schilthorn, which is at about 9800 ft. The City of Murren was encased in fog when we left and it was actually a gamble to take the tram up...we were not sure we would see anything!

... in the winter. By the time we reach the top of the lift I'm wondering where all those skiers are. There is 8 inches of fresh snow on the ground. Our hostess, Denise, at the place we are staying told us that yesterday it was very nice. We met a couple from Ocala, Florida that had been there for several days already. The temps had been in the 70's with clear sunny skies and they had hiked to the top of some of the passes. They told us that they were shocked ...
