... we were given an amazingly informative and intimate semi-private tour by a Florentine who was both knowledgeable and personable. We were shown interesting historical landmarks along with stories and details about Florence and its people. Along the way we were treated to a cup of coffee in an old world bakery where we also bought our bread for our bruschetta recipe. We stopped at a local fresh fruits and vegetables ...

The Dominican Church was the first one we visited today. This church is dedicated to ...

Blaine suggested we just get on a train to Pisa and pretend like stupid tourists. By the time he talked me into this, we were running to the train... Again. Lots of exercise this morning! I sat super nervous, while Blaine carefully plotted our witty response of shock and anguish ...

... very good tour. Wine and olive oil tasting followed. Next stop...yikes it's late, I'll have to finish this tomorrow....we're off again with Ale at 9:30! Waiting for the fam to get ready to start our day, so will finish this post. It was a very long and fun filled day, so I may have to abbreviate some events. After Volpaia, we visited a small vineyard to taste a Prosecco the owner makes...that was a success! His Vineyard ...
