Aujourd'hui ce termine mon aventure en Italie! Mais quelle aventure de reve! La quantites de choses que j'ai apprise, les idees que j'ai acquises et surtout les gens que j'ai connu ont fait de ce voyage un moment inoubliable ! I just left Milano where I took my last course of coffee and I loved it ! I'm actually very sad to leave this beautiful country and all my friends here, who knows when I will see them again? but it's now time ...

... br> After lunch we took the subway to the Duomo - an amazing old church in the heart of the city. It is massive in size and "awe" effect. The floors were my favorite part of touring the inside. They are marble with a very pretty large floral print. Museum at Academia for a bit of culture- lots of painting of last supper that were rescued(?) from churches in town. Some really old 14c stuff and some more recent restored items. Amazing brushwork and huge alter pieces some with bible stories that were new to me. Spent arvo wandering lanes and canals. Pizza at same restaurant. ...

Today I went to Bergamo, about 50km E of Milan which is actually two towns in one; the low (and new) town (still old to us) and the high medieval town behind Venetian walls on the alpine hilltop. From the train you walk through the new town and can get a funicular up the very steep part, it's more than a 45 degree angle and the little cable car only takes 16-20 people (far better than climbing that many steps though). Arsenal were convincingly outplayed by the Italian masters. Ramsey, Roscisky and co. looked like schoolboys against the red and blacks. Zlatan Ibrahimovic was pulling all the strings and Robinho was applying the finishing touches.
