Well, it rained on and off all night and again in the morning. The forecast was for rain/showers for the next few days. We put off our cycle ride/picnic, hoping that it would clear up. When we arrived at La Fleche we settled in and went for a nice stroll by the river after dinner.
There were lots of British vintage TR4's, MG's and other sports cars at the campsite. - some carefully loaded in enclosed trailers.
It is quite near to Le Mans and they go there for track days.

This beautiful morning we caught the TER train to Monaco-Monte Carlo. It was a lovely train trip along the edge of the Mediterranean. We arrived and were surrounded by grandstands all set up for the Monaco Grand Prix which is on in about a month. ... away from the cars you register how magnificent the actual building is. So we decide to have a coffee at the restaurant outside the casino, Cafe de Paris. I'd read about it, pay a ridiculous amount for a coffee but gives you a great view point to gawk at all the high rollers. So yes paid 5.50 euro for coffee and 15 euro for ice cream sunday - around $30 AUS, and it was **** coffee, ice cream was good though, It was fun just sitting and watching. Lots of rich and loud ...
