Well, it rained on and off all night and again in the morning. The forecast was for rain/showers for the next few days. We put off our cycle ride/picnic, hoping that it would clear up. ... TO is not in the middle of town, and when we did eventually find it, it had moved, to a site even further out and closed at noon.. Guess what time it was by then ? - 12.10pm!

When we arrived at La Fleche we settled in and went for a nice stroll by the river after dinner.
There were lots of British vintage TR4's, MG's and other sports cars at the campsite. - some carefully loaded in enclosed trailers.
It is quite near to Le Mans and they go there for track days.

... on the way. We got great views of on board some of them. It is amazing how many have spa pools on them and a couple even had helicopter pads. Caught the train back to Nice (on the train was a cat and a dog, both on leashes and not in the slightest perturbed at being there) and walked back to our room. Arrived back at about 7.30. We enjoyed a relaxing day in Nice. Less tourists than this past weekend. Climbed the cliff to see the Chateau which wasn't there, all we saw was the excavation site. However we had some beautiful views. Moving on to Venice tomorrow, half day train ...
