Highlights included finding a pair of fresh water lakes in the Nickerson National Park which helped as we have discovered they are having a bit of a shark problem on the cape!

... back to the highway and take a dip on Races beach. Dunes, sand, sea = no camera on beach. Shimmied into our cossies and took the plunge. It was freezing - all agree colder than Kingsand- we caused quite a stir with people just stopping and looking and encouraging us. Really strong current to right (hence the name "Races") so quite challenging swimming. Like one of those pools you can get to swim against a current- we struggled to stay in the same place. ... and even waded in the shallower water trying to spot our missing treasure. We stopped by every store asking them if they found the camera and we even left our number with the police department. The chance of finding the camera was slim, very slim. We wouldn’t be able to take pictures for the rest of the trip.

... at 9:20--Funeral is at 10am We got to within a few blocks of the church and they did not know the way--Hard to believe that I pointed out the way - -but then I had just been to another funeral here on Saturday! We had expected very few people to be there , and the church was PACKED-we had to park 3 blocks away and walk--it is in the high 30‘s out! A nice service. ... according to my iPad, it’s one of the best bed & breakfasts on Cape Cod. I chose the “Bay Tower” room because it sounded fancy and saw it included a breathtaking panoramic view of the ocean. The décor of the inn made me feel as if I was transported to the 18th century, but the modern day amenities like flat panel TVs, air conditioning, and free Wi-Fi made me feel right at home.
