Left for belgium this morning. Just entered the french speaking country and I read about some caves in liege, belgium that I will try to find. And then onto brussels.. an intereting thing in europe is all the public bathrooms cost money to use... here are some pictures of the roads. ... what appeared to be the right one and in the right direction to Vimy. Must glance at gps....must glance at gps....must glance at gps.... me new mantra.

Vimy is to the south and I was actually having fun riding and I ended up on a kinda narrow windy country road and I do not know why but something said to me look up....I did....I had to pull over. Seems I was in the Doure vally and off in the distance on the ridge above was the Vimy Monument....it stands out like ...

... gates, then on another 1.5kms to our position on the inside of the circuit. Only problem was that 10,000 other people had arrived at same spot even EARLIER than us!

We walked around the hill far enough to find a spot, just on the edge of a hill to set our chairs. With a tv screen directly in front, views down a straight, into a corner and then back across to the main straight and grandstands in the distance, we were quite pleased with our find!
