On Wed morning I got up early and went to get more bacon pancakes for breakfast. Then it was off to the Anne Frank house, which was a very memorable visit. It was heartbreaking to see the kind of conditions she and her family lived in before they were betrayed, and the sombreness that filled the entire museum as we all trundled through was not broken for a moment. Wandering through the streets of Amsterdam's red light disctrict with our luggage, I am not sure exactly the reason why everybody seems to be staring at us. Wait. "Everybody" is male. And all the males are all looking us up and down. There is the odd nod of approval, or whispering and snickering amongst themselves, and this increases into remarks to us like "nice," or "great boobs" or "wanna ****?" ...
